   I was wondering if any drivers have tried the Maine Ave. "detour" to get on the HOV lanes.  I used to take that route home when I used to drive in to work everyday, and it seemed faster.  I've been slugging from L'Enfant for a couple months now and I was pretty surprised nobody has went that way yet.
