That was funny miltrade, not for you, I guess. People should have some basic manners.

AND, if you read more closely, you would see that "Army, OK". It's the overweight part that is not ok. If you have a problem with people taking issue with overweight servicemembers, then complain to the service chiefs, who maintain and issue the weight requirements.

SO, your a Marine that dislikes Army (Especially heavy army..) because you are so much better than any other person who serves our country risking their lives for our freedom?
AND- you are better than all others that are over weight. AND- You are the first person who picked up a stinky, rude slug. WHY- didnt you just say that you dont appreciate cell phone calls in your car? :'} |

I have been picking up slugs at 610 to DC and then Pentagon to 610 for about 5 years now. I have never had a bad experience except for some lady that talks too much on her cell phone and tried to eat pretzels in my car, until yesterday!
I picked up an overweight soldier (I know he was Army because I saw his uniform in his bag), which immediately got things off on the wrong foot because I am a Marine. Army, ok. Overweight Army, NOT ok. Well, he gets in the front seat of my car and immediately I could smell him, it was horrid body odor. Then, he proceeds to have no less than 5 or 6 cell phone conversations during the trip. He had his ringer on so loud that it literally startled me every time it rang. He also made no effort at all to talk in a "quiet voice". Every call he made was cut off due to bad signal, then he would either re-dial, or the other person would call back. And these were purely social calls, almost as if he figured that since he was going to be "sitting around" for the next hour, he might as well knock out his weekly calls to all his friends. I simply turned the radio up each time. Normally, I have no qualms about being an ass, but I decided to see how rude one person could be. On top of this, in between calls he kept asking me questions about my radio, the car, whatever they were saying on the talk show we were listening to. I answered each question yes or no only. Then, and this was the worst part, he crossed his left leg over his right, with his oversized, sandled, dirty foot resting on my dash, and proceeded to pick at a gnarly looking scab on the top of his foot for a good five minutes. After that, he then picked at chewed at his fingernails for another 6-7 minutes. I looked over at his nails and they were literally black with crud and dirt underneath. This guy was a mess. He then fell asleep and of course snored at a ridiculous volume. He was awoken right at the Garrisonville exit by another freakin cell phone call. I have never done this before, but if I see him in the line again, I will refuse to take him. |
