Johnson said the church will find good use for money from the agreement, which will bring the church $288,600 annually for up to five years.

Today from 5:10 to 5:30pm there were 5 slugs at 14th & F looking for a ride to 234. If you are a driver looking for slugs to 234/Dumfries, we are waiting for you! [:D]

NO44 - I work in Chinatown near 8th & I Streets NW. I normally head to the Pentagon to catch a ride. If you're still looking for sluggers headed to 234, let me know. Thanks.

The line mid-block on 14th between G and F is for the 234 Commuter Lot. This link will take you to a map. http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?hl=en&ie=UTF8&msa=0&ll=38.897805,-77.032536&spn=0.001712,0.003849&z=19&msid=205724262273021309327.00049ed66f95d5608992c. I think you will find that even with the walk from Chinatown to 14th this is a much faster option than taking Metro to the Pentagon to pick up a slug ride. I have been using the Capital Bike Share station at 8th and H NW and dropping the bike of at the station at 14th and G. More and more slugs are using this line; more drivers would be good but that will come as the word gets out that slugs are waiting. I think there is also a combination of confusion as to line location and fear of getting a ticket while waiting for a slug. I have found a good solution to the latter problem is to do a right hand lap around the block if no slugs are immediately available. I have done it myself on days that I drive and found it quick and easy and a slug was waiting when I came around after just one lap. Signs help for both driver and slug and it doesn't hurt for drivers to ask bus riders lined up against the building. They often look meek and not so slug like but sometimes you can coax one for two to come with. quote: |
