I am doing an internship at a site near 14th & L St beginning June 10th, and will be coming from the Woodbridge/Potomac Mills area in VA Monday-Friday. I have to be to work by 9:30AM, and will be done by 5PM.

I am a novice to how slug lines work, let alone most public transportation in general. Any advice is appreciated in addition to anyone who this route may be convenient for.

Another issue I have is that certain days (Tuesdays & Thursdays), I have a course downtown that does not finish until 9:30PM. I understand that it is very hard to find a ride on the slug line after rush hour...does anyone have any advice as to what I should do these days? I will have my car with me in VA but am trying to avoid driving it often as that it is fairly old. [:0]

Getting there...The Potomac Mills and/or Horner Road lots should work.
You could slug (free ride) to the Pentagon & Metro to
McPherson Square or slug to 14th & NY and walk a few
blocks to 14th & L. Those lots usually fill up around
7:30 but that still leaves plenty of time to get to DC.
Getting back...9:30 pm? Wow. Those days; I'd probably park at/near
the Franconia Springfield Metro station and then take
the bus back at night. Others might have better advice.
Good luck.
