Cut em some slack. Bill's in an organization that's only 57 years old. You've got to expect mistakes from the youngster on the block.

Cheers,

The youngster I was refering to was the USAF in general. Relative novices , at 57, when compared to Army, USCG, Marines, and Navy at 200+.

Cheers,

Okay, all you "old military" types who think you know the rules, let a retired AF IT guy who does know the rules speak.

On the AF side, personnel are permitted to use their official systems, including accounts, for unofficial purposes so long is it is done during non-operational time, i.e. lunch and after hours. Now granted, he posted his message at 1101 hrs, which is a bit early for lunch, but maybe he's an early bird.

However, in concession to RoadRunner, it WOULD be a better idea for MSgt Sharp to provide a different address for his personal studies.

On a side note, it's nice to see members from the other services expressing themselves in clear, understandable English as opposed to grunts (hoo-ah, ooh-rah, etc.). [:D] Maybe our presence is rubbing off. [8D]

My quip was not whether it was "legal" or not, just not a good idea to potentially flood a military server with junk email.

I don't think the junior service is rubbing off on us navy folks too much, we still don't have bases with quality clubs, golf courses, and BOQs.

Semper Gumby

Cheers,

Well, nuts!!! There they go changing the rules again. At this rate, they'll do away with all our "quality of life" goodies and turn us into a military organization. [:D]

Oh well, gee whiz!! I guess as long as you still get phone calls to Mommy and Daddy in boot camp, you're still better off than SOME services. Don't think you should worry about your quality of life...
