Thursday 9 June 2005 Employers go for car pooling Germany's Moveco ride-matching scheme claims to be pioneering in two senses. Not only does it offer the ability for commuters to identify potential ride-share partners on routes between towns; but it also uses, as reference points, individual districts and streets within those communities. Still more relevantly for travelers to work, it has been designed so that individual companies can be used as origin and destination points. The result is that daily car commuters can now enter their exact routes into a system that will find like-minded passengers willing to share the onerous burden of the daily journey to and from work. < Does Moveco know about eslugs or slug-lines.com? Now that the Europeans have invented slug lines, will the United States follow suit? [:D][8D][:D][?] dickboyd@aol.com |
