23rd St. Slug Line to Springfield

   Since the 19th & F St. slug line is closed today, can anyone let the drivers/riders know if the 23rd St. slug line to Springfield exists and where to meet the rides this afternoon?  Do we needto hold up a sign?  Thanks.

	Jody - why did you assume the line was "closed"? In case you didn't try it, the line moved back to its original location and worked fairly well. Cars came down F Street and made a right onto 19th to pick us up. As it turns out, both slugs and drivers are pretty adaptable.

	Too bad someone didn't post the line was moving back to its original spot. As of last Friday, the line was still forming in front of the World Bank.

	Yesterday the line was in front of the dorm. My guess is that TODAY it will be back in front of the World Bank. Where it forms seems to be up to the 3:30ers, and they seem to prefer the bank as opposed to the dorm. Yesterday was an exception.

	DC2RV, you're right... today it was in front of World Bank again. Seems that the area in front of dorms was police-taped off. When will we ever get our space back again? And how to mobilize the sluggers to move it back??

	I hope the line moves to in front of the dorms. It would be far easier for drivers on F St. and 19th St. to pull over. When drivers on F St. call out their destination, it is hard for the riders at the front of the line to hear it and how many riders the driver will take.

	on the few occasions I'm there around 4, I have tried to get the earlybirds to move back, but they're way too comfortable in the current location. They cite the benches, the ability to sit down, the awning/cover close to the building, the parked cars in front of the dorm (only before 4PM mind you), etc... They need to get out later to see what a mess it is with the buses, the van pools, the increased traffic, etc... Most of the early birds go to Bob's btw. So if you go there in the AM, maybe you can start a discussion there.
