I have been slugging 14 1/2 years full time (summer of 1988 from Potomac Mills). Has anyone been slugging longer? From where? Other long term slugs or drivers?
Just curious! Bob |

Have you ever thought to figure out how much time and money you've saved? |

My mother has been slugging since the HOV was only at Springfield so she can join you as a long-term slugger. [;)]

Actually, I did sit down with a calculator and estimated that I have slugged over 160,000 miles. Using a conservative estimate of 10 cents per mile I have saved $16,000. (Where is it?) Even at 5 cents per mile is is $8000. Alternatively, the bus would have cost me $22,400. (14 years times 1600 per yr)

Bob,
Just for fun, use the following link to calculate your savings for a year. Then multiply that by your 14 years. I bet it will be more than 22,400!! http://www.slug-lines.com/Slugging/Savings.asp |
