Yesterday on my way down Minnieville Rd towards Old Bridge Rd, I almost rear-ended a driver dropping off slugs at Tacketts Mill. The driver just stopped abruptly on Minnieville to drop off his passengers and could have caused a serious accident, worse yet, someone could have gotten killed. This is not a place to drop off slugs. He should have pulled into the commuter lot or pulled up to the bus stop area. I've noticed several drivers doing this lately.

For your entertainment, I wasn't tailgating. There happens to also be a bend in the road and when one is coming around that bend...BOOM one comes to a dead stop because someone has decided to stop in the road rather than pull off or pull into the parking lot.

I think you make a good point. I've dropped off at Tacketts by pulling way off on the gravel shoulder (far enough that a rider could disembark without being hit by oncoming traffic). One should NEVER stop on a road, street, etc. to drop off passengers -- too dangerous!

Tackets can be dangerous. I believe I know where your talking about.. and there really isn't a way to see them stopping abrubtly. Better to either pull all the way in the lot or coming the other way off to the shoulder.
