I'm moving to Stafford soon and would like to slug up to Crystal City. The RT 610 lot is closest to me; do drivers tend to pick up for Crystal City around 6:00 from that lot? Or should I look elsewhere?
Thanks very much!

I’ve used 610 (behind McDonalds)to go to Crystal City as well as Return from CC to 610 occasionally and have NEVER had any problems getting picked up BTWN 0600-0630. The line tends to be long, but moves quickly. Use the Pick-up spot across from Taylor Building.

I agree, you shouldn't have any problems at that time in the morning. Although it varies, usually the wait time is 10-15 minutes. The generally accepted drop-off points in the mornings are 12th and Clark, Metro, and 23rd. Some drivers may stop in between but that is up to them. I don't know anything about your chances in the afternoon near the Taylor Building, but the established spot is at the end of Crystal Drive where it curves and becomes 12th St. I don't know where you will be working, but the advantage of the Crystal and 12th spot is that it is near the bus stop (by the Gateway North building) if you decide to bail out of the line and bus over to the Pentagon for the Stafford line over there.

The same Bus (Route 3 - Pentagon to CC) picks just 1/2 a block north of the Taylor building pickup spot.

thanks to both of you. I work right near the metro, so either afternoon pickup point would work, but 12th street is closer.

Any tips on best time to get a ride back from Crystal City? I figure I'd be looking around 3:30 - 4:00.

You shouldn't have any problem getting a ride home during that time frame.
