PRTC is eliminating the Woodbridge-Tysons Corner route in November 2014 due to lack of funding.
PRTC is holding a public hearing tonight (Wednesday) September 10 at at 7 p.m. at the PRTC Transit Center, 14700 Potomac Mills Rd., Woodbridge, VA. The link is http://www.prtctransit.org/about-us/public-hearings/public_hearings.php?docid=10#sthash.YsrA0uAp.dpuf http://www.prtctransit.org/about-us/public-hearings/public_hearings.php?docid=10 Please note that on average, commuters who drive from Woodbridge to Tysons Corner and use the E-Z Pass from Springfield to Westpark pay an average of $7.00-plus in the morning and another $5-$7 in the afternoon going back from Tysons Corner to Woodbridge. The alternate options for commuting to Tysons Corner that PRTC suggested in their website involve one of the following: (a) Driving to Lorton VRE station to catch Fairfax Connector 493 (Lorton to Tysons); (b) Taking the PRTC Metro Direct bus to Springfield and then, taking another bus, i.e. Fairfax Connector 494 (Springfield to Tysons); (c) Taking the Fairfax Connector 401 & 402 (Backlick/Gallows) by going to Franconia-Springfield Metro (transfer from PRTC’s Prince William Metro Direct); or (d) Connect from PRTC’s Prince William Metro Direct to Metro Blue Line and transfer to Silver Line.
