actually i am sorry folks, i didn't know everyone was still reading the old posts. i changed my comments and wrote in gibbirish because of personel reasons, i wanted to be cautious about internet use just be safe. So i kinda deleted all my comments, sorry!

I'll be driving (to/from Stafford Rt. 610) just as usual! I hope that there are slugs out there on Friday!

And if there aren't slugs out there, you can still use HOV since there aren't any restrictions.

Very interesting -- anyone have a report who experienced Friday?
Did drivers pick up slugs? Just to be nice? No benefit to the driver and slowed them down a bit.

I picked up two slugs this morning at Tacketts to Rosslyn, too. I usually ride, so I figured it's a little way I can give a pay back to the slug community as a whole.....

I picked up 3 riders in Stafford at Rt. 610 (Mine Rd. Lot) who were needing a ride. The slug community really DOES need to look out for one-another. It's about a lot more than just HOV laws requiring riders...it's about helping people and being a community.

The above posts really show the spirit of slugging. I doubt seriously if any other slugging community can match the way we do it here in Northern Virginia.....and it hasn't changed since I started to slug back in 1990. It really is a great system.

Hey 610 SLUG! I'm going in on Friday! Give me a call if you're short of carpool people. Had not heard that HOV was lifted for Friday. Wonder why?! As you know, I can easily change my schedule.
