"14th Street closed sporadically until 6 pm

WASHINGTON - Expect traffic delays in downtown D.C. as a portion of 14th Street will be closed sporadically throughout the day.
The District Department of Transportation has shut down the street between Constitution and Pennsylvania Avenue for a special event from 5 a.m. to 6 p.m.
DDOT and D.C. Metro Police will have traffic control officers at various intersections to alleviate the anticipated traffic volume the closure will cause.
Delays are expected during both the morning and evening commute. Motorists are advised to use alternate routes, telecommute, or use Metro.
Motorists using the 14th Street bridge to enter downtown D.C. should use the SE/SW Freeway and take the 12th Street or 7th Street exit. Those using the bridge to leave D.C. should use 9th Street to reach the SE/SW Freeway."

The President is speaking now at the SED at the Reagan Bldg, They will probably be done with the street closings once he has left the bldg.
This is a shared system folks. Most of us were raised with manners, it's time to start using them.
