Hi All,

I am a first time driver and want to give a couple slugs a ride home today. I will be picking up at Pentagon and going all the way down to Fredericksburg (I live another 30 miles south of there).

Any tips or advice for a first-timer would be greatly appreciated.

You might also take a look at the map and then search this site for related threads to give you an idea how it works.

I've been reading quite a bit on the site... fantastic resource. I usually time my commute so that I don't have to worry about the HOV restrictions, but if I am going to be stuck late or some such, I may as well give a couple folks a ride home
