Route 610 Commuter Parking Expansion Update- The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) will shift traffic into the newly construction portion of the Route 610/Staffordboro Boulevard Park & Ride lot starting Monday, September 8, and will close the existing lot at 11 p.m. on Friday, September 5. The existing lot will be re-paved and re-striped, and will re-open again in October. It is the final stage of construction to improve the lot and add 1,000 new parking spaces. As part of this transition on September 8, the new designated area for HOV carpooling (slugging!) will be opening in the new lot.
