I don't know of a way to embed a picture in a post, so I'll link the source for this one. Check out the picture of I-395 (back then it was I-95) at the link below! It was in the early 1970s and, as one of the replies notes, the camera is positioned roughly at the north end of Shirlington Circle looking north. That's the Glebe Road interchange in the foreground.
