I have seen the signs stating that NB 95 will be closed between 11 PM and 7 AM on the 23rd of July. I have search the net and the VDOT site and can't find any detailed information. Does anyone know if the the exit will be shut down or 95 as a whole, if so where is the detour? Thanks

Per the Freelance Star, that was a mistake. http://news.fredericksburg.com/transportation/2013/07/17/express-lanes-work-to-shut-down-section-of-i-95/

Work on the express lanes project will completely shut down a Stafford section of southbound Interstate 95 this weekend.

There has been a digital sign in the Garrisonville area warning drivers that closures would start on Tuesday, but that sign is wrong and the Virginia Department of Transportation planned to update the information, Steve Titunik, with VDOT’s Megaprojects, said earlier this week.

Weather permitting, the closure will start at 9:30 p.m. on Friday, according to Titunik.

The section that will be closed is between exit 148 (the Marine Corps Quantico Base) and exit 143 (Route 610).

Thanks, I noticed the sign change, figured somebody made a mistake, but around here you never can tell.

I actually called the FreeLance Star and asked tmem to investigate, which resulted in the article. The dates just didn't seem right & didn't know who to call to ask. I expect more weekend closures in the months to come.
